Electronic document management system (EDMS)

Description


CSC-IT has completed the implementation of the new Electronic Document Management System. It is a unified information environment supporting a complete cycle of the contracting process.

From December 2023, 100% of revenue and expenditure contracts have been approved via the system.

The EDMS is designed to create a unified information space for managing internal documents. The system supports registering and storing documents, manage document processing at the business process level, provide opportunities for execution and execution control, generate analytical reporting and manage the e-archive.

Before, documents were approved via e-mail by different groups of employees; the new system will now provide a single point of contact. It will provide a transparent process for the contract flow, and streamline the follow-up. If comments are necessary, employees will not have to forward different versions of documents back and forth, and all comments will be consolidated later on. The system gives visibility on the file and its status at any stage.
