Development of the BA/TA and HRM CES Based on SAP S/4 and SAP HCM

The Customised Enterprise Solution emerged during the project for CSC to accept 9 subsidiaries of Transportation Holding Company for service. It was designed to create a shared target IS platform powered by the SAP software products allowing the company to develop corporate end-to-end model processes intended to increase management, transparency and efficiency of processes; build the expandable architecture further allowing for additional processes of the company; optimise, standardise and automate the company's business processes in accordance with the target model in terms of processes:

  • Business and tax accounting (BA, TA),
  • Treasury,
  • Supply,
  • HRM and payroll accounting.

Integration mechanisms between our IT products and the IT landscape of our clients have been put in place for uninterrupted and qualitative operation.

The Customised Enterprise Solution harmonised business processes of client companies, set up a model for data transfer and processing between the service provider and the client company. The CSC Customised Enterprise Solution includes several components which allow for centralised data management with SAP MDG, management of E2E processes (R2R, P2P, O2C, H2R) with an all-in-one IT solution based on SAP S/4 and SAP HCM, cross-system integration with common SAP PO connectors, use of integrated archives, one for all financial and personnel OpenText files. Such integrated solution streamlines the company's operations, expedites task execution and avoids redundant departments and functions. An important advantage of the Customised Enterprise Solution is the alignment and harmonisation of solutions which streamlines and standardises business processes in the organisation. This improves the quality and speed of task execution and improves personnel efficiency.

It took CSC 20 months to build the Customised Enterprise Solution, including 10 months of the pilot launch and 10 months of replication. The project included 8 companies and more than 730 developers. As part of this project, CSC created over 170 products, 220 data templates for migration from legacy systems and held more than 150 training sessions.

The company also used more than 75 E2E test scenarios as part of its acceptance tests and embedded 6 IT systems, including SAP S/4, SAP HCM, SAP MDG, SAP PO, OpenText, and 1С. Today, the system accounts for over 1,100 users and over 630 documents generated during the project.

In general, the CSC Customised Enterprise Solution is an essential tool to streamline and optimise business processes in the organisation saving time and resources, expediting task execution and improving personnel efficiency and interaction between organisations.
