Information security outsourcing market demonstrated an outstanding growth in 2023 exceeding expectations of analysts. It almost doubled the growth of the whole cyber-security market. Experts name resource saving among the growth drivers as companies are trying to minimize recruitment costs and costs on forming their own cyber-security departments. And the deficit of qualified personnel do not contribute to staff replenishment. Meanwhile, cyber threats are growing. Alexey Kuznetsov, information Security Discipline area manager, CSC-IT, distinguished the following most noticeable changes over the past several years in information security outsourcing. Composition of services has restructured: providers focus more on presenting complex solutions, which cover rather business demands than an individual operating function of information security. InfoSec outsourcing providers also propose protection of cloud environments taking into account specific requirements and risks associated with cloud platforms. AI technologies are becoming increasingly important for process automation, prediction and prevention of cyber-attacks. Improving cyber literacy is becoming a key factor in cybersecurity outsourcing strategies, and cybersecurity service providers help organizations tailor the approach and training content to different focus groups to minimize human factors threats. “We can summarize by the following thesis: "There is no information security without digital literacy”, Mr. Kuznetsov underlines.
