In 2022 an Internet portal created with the support of the National Coordination Centre for Computer Incidents (NCCI) published material under the title “Random information leaks in government agencies.” In 66% of cases files for internal use and confidential correspondence became publicly available with over 50% of total cases when the information leaked through personal email, social media, and external cloud-based storages. Alexey Kuznetsov, CISO of Corporate Solutions Centre (CSC), speaks about whether these figures are indicative of the market as a whole, whether it is possible in principle to defeat Shadow IT and whether there are any solutions in Russia that contribute to this.
